Art in Woodstock
The pretty market town of Woodstock will play host to Art in Woodstock, a major visual arts festival from October 25th - 2nd November 2008. Showcasing work by visiting professional artists and local talents, this festival will see the whole of Woodstock transformed into a celebration of visual arts. Individual art exhibitions and installations will be held in galleries, shops, churches, resturants and other unusual spaces, and a triangular 'free expression' art wall will be erected in the town square for visitors to contribute to, creating a unique work of art reflecting Woodstock and its community.  | The 'Art Wall' was the centrepiece of the 'Art in Woodstock' celebration of the visual arts which ran from October 23rd -28th. A triangular structure offering 80ft of wall space, 6ft High, the three sides were themed 'Children's Wall'. 'Free Expression' and 'The Jenks of Oxford landscape Wall. (Landscape architects, Jenks of Oxford, sponsered the cost of the building of the wall.) Click for more details |

Among those exhibiting in Art in Woodstock are three recent graduates who all live locally and whose work is all very different.
They are Alison Parry, Emma Smith and Sarah Moncrieff.
Environmentally minded Emma returned to University as a mature student
and Sarah changed direction entirely to pursue her artistic talent.
Alison traveled for 6 months before emabarking on her degree at
